Thanks to everyone who came to see us at the Destinations Travel Show at London Earl's Court. We were delighted with all the great comments we got about our stand, our authentic holidays.. Well, everything!
We've had so much effort getting our first country, Thailand, up and running and although we've had rave reviews from people who've been on our holidays so far, it was great to see such enthusiasm from all our visitors at the show as well.
We even went out into the crowds enticing people to our stand and delighting everyone with real peacock feathers. Why peacock feathers? Well, our logo was inspired by the peacocks who historically, were taken all over the world by returning travellers. For us, the spreading of its tail represents the tales of the returning traveller, each feather a different and unique account of part of their adventure.
Getting visitors to 'guess the Thai fruit' from our fruit bowl and enter the 'win a holiday in Thailand' competition provided food for the mind. The competition question to win our 'Taste of Thailand' tour ('name two countries that share land borders with Thailand') proved especially tricky for some. On Saturday and Sunday, we devoted one corner as a rest area for kids and we held a Thai Masks colouring challenge for them giving away Nancy Chandler Thailand Activity books and Colouring books to the boldest and the best.
Overall, the show was a wonderful opportunity for us to see how people responded to our concept of being able to pick the elements they were interested in and letting us put it together into an away-from-the-tourist-trail holiday for them. This allows our customers to really make the most of their time away on a trip where everything is organised seamlessly for them and they know they'll be seeing more of the undiscovered Thailand. Best of all, our exploratory, yet comfortable adventures are private, but don't cost a fortune.
