You'll have a late lunch and an induction then you'll be straight off to explore a bustling market and then ending at Colombo's famous Galle Face Green for spectacular sunset pictures.
Monday:
Time to head off, you'll be driving to Tissamaharama, near Yala National Park. When you get there, you'll settle into a resort which will be your base for the next few days. In the late afternoon, you'll explore the area, including the large Tissa Wewa lake, this is an artificial lake part of an irrigation system dating back to the 3rd century BC, and surrounded by majestic trees with colourful tropical birds flitting in and out of them. You'll have dinner at an open air local restaurant.
Tuesday:
Time to start snapping some animals! A very early start and then a day with a wildlife guide in Yala National Park. You'll definitely see deer, peacocks, crocodiles and more, though we usually see wild elephants and often leopards too. This will be a full day though you will have time for a picnic lunch and a nap on the beach which fringes the park.
Wednesday:
Another early start and another morning in Yala National Park. You'll then head back to your resort and have the afternoon free to relax by the pool. This evening, you will visit Kataragama, a town which attracts people from all of Sri Lanka's faiths (Buddhist, Hindu, Christian and Muslim) and see elephants in one of their many jobs (they are often used by temples as well as plantations).
Thursday:
Leisurely morning then you'll go via car to Sinharaja rainforest, the last virgin rainforest in Sri Lanka and UNESCO world heritage site.
Friday:

Monday:
A very early start. You'll be Beruwala in time to see the brightly-coloured fishing boats being unloaded this morning. The harbour is home to more than 600 boats and catches include shark!
